Which institutions is the system for?
Yeshiva high schools, ulpanas and any Torah institution with a dormitory. The system was built for institutions where students live, so it covers both the studies and the dormitory.
Do the students need a smartphone?
No. Staff report attendance, parents ask for exits, and at the gate the guard finds the student by name or recognizes him by his face. The student app is an option, not a requirement.
What happens on Shabbat?
What Shabbat needs is settled ahead: the exit approvals, the report of who expects to stay and the Shabbat group with the staff who stay. Attendance on return is reported on Saturday night or on Sunday.
Can attendance be reported at prayers and study sessions?
Yes. Every report has a template: time, days, year groups, who reports and who gets the summary. That is how you set up a report for Shacharit, the morning seder, the evening seder and lights‑out.
Are religious and general studies managed together?
Yes. Every lesson goes into the timetable with a teacher, a subject, a time and a place, whether it is Gemara, Tanakh or maths. Attendance is taken in every lesson, and the teachers’ hours are counted for payroll.
How is going home for a free Shabbat handled?
The parent sets up a recurring exit once, with days and hours. Each actual exit is still approved by a staff member on the day, and the gate sees the approval.
Who approves an exit?
In a yeshiva the class rabbi approves, in an ulpana the homeroom teacher. In the dormitory it is the counselors. If the parents have given standing consent, a staff member can issue the exit directly, without a new request from the parent.
Who sees a student’s personal file?
Each role sees only what its permissions allow, and every view of the file is logged.
What happens when a class rabbi or a counselor changes mid-year?
The knowledge stays with the institution. The talks, the notes and the personal plan are kept in the personal file, and the replacement sees them from day one, within his permissions.
Can a yeshiva and an ulpana of one network be run in one system?
Yes. You set up an organization with several institutions, and every role gets the view and the permissions that fit it.
Does the staff have to work from a computer?
No. The main reports are made from the phone, in Hebrew, English or Russian, in the browser and in an app for iOS and Android.
How much does it cost?
The price depends on the size of the institution and the modules you choose. In the first call we put together an offer that fits you.
Where is the data stored?
On servers in Israel, on AWS cloud infrastructure. Smart Campus is certified to ISO 27001 and ISO 27799 and is an approved vendor of the Ministry of Education.
