What does a school get from Smart Campus?
Digital exit approvals for students and access control at the gate: parent requests, staff approval, a guard screen, entry permits for visitors, and a control board that shows who is inside.
Does every exit need a request from the parent?
No. A parent request is one option. If the school has standing consent from the parents, a staff member can issue an exit approval directly, and the gate is updated in the same way.
What if someone else picks the student up?
The parent chooses “Pick‑up by an authorized adult” and fills in the escort’s details: name, mobile number and ID number. The staff member sees them before approving, and the guard sees them at the gate.
Can an exit be set to repeat every week?
Yes. The parent chooses “Recurring” and sets the days and hours once. Each actual exit is still approved by a staff member on the day.
Does the parent get a message when the child leaves through the gate?
It is an option the school switches on. When it is on, the parent gets a message the moment the exit is recorded at the gate.
Does equipment have to be installed at the gate?
Not necessarily. You can start with a guard station with a tablet or a computer. A school that wants a pass without stopping adds QR readers or face recognition cameras.
Can the QR code be screenshotted or sent to a friend?
No. The code is personal and changes every 15 seconds, so a screenshot is no longer valid at the gate. And even a valid code only lets through someone who has an exit approval.
How does a visitor get into the school?
You open an entry permit for them: name, mobile number, ID, on foot or by vehicle, validity, the purpose of the visit and who approves it. When the visitor arrives, the guard finds the permit and marks the entry, and marks the exit when they leave.
What does the guard see about the student?
Only what is needed at the gate: name, photo, group, contact details and the approval itself. No other personal information about the student is shown on the guard’s screen.
What happens if a student who left does not come back on time?
Their approval turns red, and they appear on the control board as needing attention, with how late they are. When they come back, the entry time is recorded.
Do you also offer a full school management system?
For schools we offer exit approvals and gate access control today. The full Smart Campus system works in boarding schools, youth villages and similar institutions.
Where is the data stored?
On servers in Israel, on AWS cloud infrastructure. Smart Campus is certified to ISO 27001 and ISO 27799 and is an approved vendor of the Ministry of Education.
