What is a student personal plan?
A working plan for each student: goals by period, tasks with an owner and a due date, and a team that supports the student until they reach them. It lets staff give every student personal attention and individual education, even in a large institution.
Who builds the plan?
The staff member who leads the plan, usually the counselor, builds it together with the student and adds the staff who support them.
Can the student see their plan?
Yes. The student sees their goals and progress and checks off their own tasks, and the counselor can check them off too. There is also a direct chat between the student and the staff.
Which staff take part in the plan?
Anyone who works with the student and is added to the plan team: counselors, teachers, coordinators, care staff and management. Every task has an owner, and everyone sees their own tasks.
How do you know something is stuck?
Every task has a due date. A task past its date is marked “overdue”, and filters show right away what is overdue, what is done and what is not, or only your own tasks.
Can we attach documents?
Yes. Attach files to the whole plan and to each goal, such as a test, an approval or a letter, and they are kept together with the plan.
How many goals should we set?
Three or four per period, from different areas: studies, social life, personal responsibility and health. Ideally the student chooses at least one of them. Our guide has a full example.
What happens when the plan ends?
The plan is closed and saved in the student file with its goals, tasks and notes. The next plan builds on what was learned.
Can management see all the plans?
Yes. Management sees the plans on campus and the progress of each one, and knows where it is worth stepping in.
Who can see the information, and how is it stored?
Only people with permission, according to their role. Data is hosted in Israel on AWS, and every action is logged. Smart Campus is certified to ISO 27001 and ISO 27799.
